AROUND THE WORLD
This choropleth map shows the percentage of total population in countries all around the world that have access to improved water sources (2004). Most noticeably, Russia, Australia, North America and majority of Europe have more than 95% (above world average) of their total population access to improved water sources. Some countries in Africa have less than 65% (below world average) and some in Asia, too. This whole map should have all countries above average but it doesn't. We can help do something.
This is a choropleth map of the worst oil spills in history.
The Gulf War Oil Spill largest oil spill occurred in 1991 which was 1,500,000 Tonnes. The smallest one occurred in 1989 and was 37, 000 Tonnes. It was the Exxon Valdez and it was one of the two worst oil spills in U.S history. The other one is the Deepwater Horizon which was over 68,000 Tonnes and happened in 2010. To this day, there are still issues about it as mentioned in the previous page (Recent News). We need to sustain our water for future generations to come or water, the key to life on earth, will be gone and there won't be much of a difference between Earth and Mars.
The country with the most oil spills is clearly the U.S.A. When checking a list of oil spills by country, US.A will most likely be there very often. Other countries will appear around once, twice or not at all.

Access to improved water source and oil spills really matter when picking where to live. I had previously made a top ten of the best countries to live in (based on their emission rates, birth rates, literacy rates, and life expectancy). My Top Ten:
10. Pakistan
9. Turkey
8. Brazil
7. Australia
6. U.S.A
5. New Zealand
4. U.K
3. Iceland
2. Afghanistan
1. Canada
Now, if I compare those countries and see which ones have access too improved water sources and oil spills, my top ten will change (based on the two choropleth maps above). I would change it to:
10. Turkey
9. Argentina
8. Greenland
7. Egypt
6. France
6. U.K
5. New Zealand
3. Iceland
2. Australia
1. Canada
In this new top ten, there aren't many developing countries as my old top ten because most of the developing countries are round average or below.
